Manaya is built to help you spend less time in distracting apps. It does that with Apple's Screen Time tools on your device. This page says what that means for your privacy, in plain language.
On your device only
In this version there are no Manaya accounts, no Manaya cloud, and no Manaya servers holding your groups, streak, or stats. That information lives on your iPhone.
What the app does not collect
The Manaya iPhone app does not run a behavioral analytics SDK. We do not sell your data. We do not read or store the names of the apps you block in a way we can browse later. Apple gives Manaya opaque tokens for the apps and sites you pick; we use those tokens to apply shields on your device.
What stays local
- Your protection groups, plan settings, and which targets you chose (as tokens)
- Streak and simple stats totals
- Whether Screen Time access is on
The marketing site waitlist is separate: if you join with your email, that signup goes to our waitlist form provider so we can tell you when the beta opens. The app itself does not send your usage to that list.
This website
manaya.app may use Google Analytics to understand which pages people visit, how long they stay, and which links they use. That helps us improve the site. It is separate from the iPhone app and does not include your in-app plan or streak data. You can block analytics cookies with browser settings or extensions if you prefer.
Apple Screen Time
Blocking depends on Apple's Family Controls / Screen Time frameworks. Apple's privacy rules for those frameworks still apply. You can revoke Manaya's Screen Time access anytime in iOS Settings.
Limits
No app can make blocking impossible to bypass. Manaya adds real friction. It does not claim an unbreakable lock.
